The emblem consists of a circular shield depicting a lotus blossom emerging out of water in front of a rising sun. The shield is supported by ears of wheat and the Lion Capital of Ashoka forms the crest

State Tree of Haryana – Peepal
Scientific name: Ficus religiosa
The sacred Peepal tree has been declared the state tree of Haryana. All parts of the Peepal tree including the root, bark, leaves and fruit are useful.
Medicinal uses: The bark of the tree is useful in inflammation and swelling of the glands of the neck. The bark of its root is useful for stomatitis, cleans ulcers, and promotes granulation. Its roots are useful for rheumatism and the root is chewed to prevent gum diseases.

State Flower of Haryana – Lotus
Scientific name: Nelumbo nucifera
The lotus or water lily is an aquatic plant that grows only in shallow water, with large floating green leaves and bright fragrant flowers. Its flowers are divided into two types on the basis of colors, red lotus flowers and white lotus flowers. Its beautiful flowers are floating and have many petals.

State animal of Haryana - Black antelope
Scientific name: Antilope cervicapra
Black antelope is found mainly in India but small populations are also found in Pakistan and Nepal. The black antelope has a ringed horn with 3 to 4 medium spiral turns and is up to 70 cm (28 in) in length. The black antelope of Africa is also called black antelope.

State Bird of Haryana – Black Francolins (Black Pheasant)
Scientific name: Francolinus francolinus
The Blanc francolin (Francolinus francolinus), known as the black pheasant, is a widespread breed native to most of north and central India. In Hindi, this beautiful stubby tailed adventure bird is found near the border lakes, fields and bushes.
