SBI Apprentice Notification 2020:
Online Registration of Application: from 20.11.2020 to 10.12.2020 ONLINE EXAMINATION: TENTATIVIVELY IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2021. State Bank of India (SBI) has released a notification for recruitment to the post of Apprentice on its official website. Interested candidates can apply online from 20 November 2020. The examination is expected to be held in the month of January, 2021. SBI Apprentice 2020 Online Process will be continued till December 10, 2020. A total of 8,500 Vacancies of Apprentice Posts in various states will be recruited through the exam. It should be noted that candidates can apply for engagement in one state only. Eligibility: Candidates must have completed graduation from a recognised University/ Institute before October 31, 2020.
Duration of Training : Three years only. The selected apprentices should be willing to qualify in the examinations of IIBF (JAIIB/CAIIB) during 3 years apprenticeship engagement in the Bank.
Stipend: The apprentices are eligible for stipend of Rs 15000 a month during 1st year, Rs 16500 per month during 2nd year and Rs 19000 per month during 3rd year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits.
Selection Process: Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of (i) online written test and (ii) test of local language.

Test of Local Language: The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprentice. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
Medical Examination: Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.
Final Selection will be subject to:
- Verification of eligibility for the post and information furnished in the online application
- Qualifying in test of specified opted local language, where applicable, as detailed above.
- c) Declared fit in the Medical examination.
Wait List: A Wait list (State-category wise) will be maintained for one year from the date of result of the engagement of apprentices or next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier. Candidates will be released only once from this waitlist against non-joining subject to availability of qualified candidates.
Roles/ Responsibilities: Apprentice. This is not an employment in the Bank.
