How to Reach Jawai Leopard Safari Park:

The park can be reached by road, train, or air. Udaipur and Jodhpur are the nearest airports, both within a similar distance. Jawai Bandh station is the closest railway station. Jawai is also well-connected by road.

About Jhalana Leopard Reserve:

In the Indian state of Rajasthan, Jhalana Leopard Reserve is India's first leopard reserve located in the city of Jaipur. This region is encircled by the Aravali Mountains, one of the oldest mountain ranges in India. Jhalana was declared a leopard reserve in 2017. This reserve includes 20 square kilometers of land that is home to an incredible amount of flora and fauna.

More than thirty leopards and five cubs live in Jhalana Leopard Conservation Reserve. Apart from leopards, you can spot stripe hyenas, Indian civets, desert cats, jungle cats, desert foxes, jackals, porcupines, jungle rats, monitor lizards, monkeys, Sambar deer, spotted deer (chital), Blue Bull (Nilgai), and snakes of many kinds.

What is the Best Time to Visit Jhalana Leopard Reserve or Safari?

There are safari tours available at the Jhalana Leopard Reserve throughout the year, even during the monsoon season, based on the entry timings of the particular season. During our monsoon season, most of the protected reserves are closed, but you can visit the Jhalana Leopard Reserve.

Ideally, between November and April is the best time to visit Jhalana as the weather is excellent during this time, and nature is in full bloom during this time, adding to the beauty of the forest. However, one can also enjoy the Jhalana Leopard Safari any time, but November to April is often the best time to enjoy the magnificent Leopards.

Safari tours are conducted at all three zones in Jhalana Safari Park. The Park is divided into two safari zones. You can book a Leopard Safari for any zone of the park through the Jhalana Leopard Safari booking service.  A maximum of 10 safari jeeps of 6 seats can enter Jhalana Leopard Reserve in a single shift in accordance with the current safari booking policy. You can choose the safari shift time when you book your safari at Jhalana Leopard Reserve; morning or evening shifts are available.

Foreigner Tourist: INR.1150 per passenger or 5800 Full Gypsy

How to Reach Jhalana Leopard Reserve:

By Road: The Jhalana forest reserve is directly connected to major cities of India via a road passing by it, including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Kota, etc. You can drive yourself to Jhalana or take the bus service to reach this destination.

By Rail: In terms of rail accessibility, the Jhalana Leopard Reserve is the closest to the Jaipur Junction Railway Station. Jaipur Junction is about 11.7 kilometers away from the reserve. A number of trains run directly from major cities in India like Delhi, Mumbai, etc. You can take the local bus or hire a taxi to cover the distance from the station to Jhalana.

By Air: Jhalana leopard reserve is approximately 15 minutes drive from Jaipur International Airport, which is only 6 km from the airport. The pink city Jaipur is well connected to many cities in India and abroad via domestic and international flights. Taxis, cabs, and buses are available at Jaipur airport to get you to Jhalana Safari Park.
