International Environment Day2021

To protect the environment, every year 5th June is celebrated as "World Environment Day" , the purpose of celebrating this day is to protect and protect the environment.

As we know that due to excessive cutting of trees, the environment has started to suffer a lot, due to this the balance of the environment is being disturbed, the problem of pollution is increasing day by day, because of all these problems, the United Nations (United Nations) Nations Organization) was started to celebrate World Environment Day.

History of Environment Day-

Celebrating World Environment Day started in 1973 for the first time since 1972, the United Nations organized the first environmental conference of countries around the world in Sweden, and around 119 countries participated in this conference, followed by the United Nations Environment. The program was formed and it was decided to celebrate Environment Day on 5 June every year and to make citizens aware of the problem of pollution, after which the Environmental Protection Act came into force on 19 November 1986.

Various types of programs are organized to make people aware on this day, such as planting trees, telling people their importance, etc.

World Environment Day 2021 Theme

The theme of this year's World Environment Day is Ecosystem Restoration . Pakistan will act as the global host. The United Nations' decision on ecosystem restoration will begin on World Environment Day 2021.

Ecosystem restoration can take many forms:

Planting trees

Greening cities

Rebuilding gardens

Changing diets

Cleaning rivers and banks

This is the generation that can make peace with nature.

There are many ways of celebrating World Environment Day, these are:

1. You can plant trees and plants on this day. Around the house, on the roof of the house, in the balcony of the house, in the garden, etc.

2. You can organize an online competition or you can inspire people to plant trees through your messages.

3. Every member of the family can plant a sapling and at the same time, friends can also do this work together, so that the number of trees around you can be increased, which is very important in today's era.

4. Can talk to people on this day through online/social media, tell them about the environment, tell them why it is necessary to plant trees, etc.

5. Planting trees is not enough. Therefore, whatever plant you plant, take the responsibility of taking care of it.
