IBPS PO: DETAILS OF THE EXAM

IBPS PO & MT (Probationary Officers and Management Trainees): Where most of the vacancies are still pending due to cheating cases, paper leak cases or someone take the Examination board to the court over marking system or cut –off. In these scenarios IBPS PO & MT is one of the most awaited & the most trusted competitive examinations because these exams are conducted without any glitches or without any kind of court hurdle. IBPS issues the offer/ joining letter to the all selected candidates within 6 months time. In these 6 months all the stages of exams are also included. IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) every year conducts IBPS Clerks examination, IBPS PO/MT Examination, IBPS RRB (Clerk/ Multitask, PO/MT, Specialist Officer), and IBPS Specialist Officers. Here we will discuss about IBPS PO-

IBPS PO/MT:-  Participating Banks: Banks who recruit through IBPS PO/MT examination are as follows:

EXAMINATITON: The Examination conducted by IBPS is taken via online mode. IBPS PO/MT examination conducted in four phases. First one is Preliminary. Second one is Mains; third one is Interview & fourth is allotment to the successful candidates. This whole process is done in 6 months time period. This is beauty of the IBPS that it concludes whole process in very short time and smoothly manner.

3. Interview Round : Personal Interview
4. Provisional Allotment

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Age: Minimum age should be 20 Years and Maximum should not be exceeded than 30 Years.

There is age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/ Ex-serviceman/ Person with Benchmark Disabilities etc. as per rules. Candidate who wants age relaxation needs submit the required documents with photocopies at the time of interview.

Educational Qualification: A Graduation degree in any discipline from the Government recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government of India.

How to Apply: For applying candidates have to visit the official website of IBPS’s https://www.ibps.in/   before applying candidates have to keep these following things ready with them:

1. Scanned Photograph of size 4.5 cm X 3.5 cm. Photograph should be recent passport style colour picture with preferably white or light colour background. Size of photo should be 20Kb-50Kb. File type- .jpg/.jpeg
2. Scanned Signature (Signature shouldn’t be in Capital letters). Signature should be on white paper with Black Ink pen. Size should be 10Kb-20Kb. File type- .jpg/.jpeg
3. Scan of Left Thumb Impression. Size should be 20Kb-50Kb. File type- .jpg/.jpeg
4. Scan of A hand written declaration. Size should be 50Kb-100Kb. File type- .jpg/.jpeg.  The text which needs to be hand written is-  “I ______________ (Name of the candidate) hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
5. Necessary details to make Online Payments
6. Valid personal E-mail ID.

Application Fees:​

Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWBD candidates

Rs. 600/- for all others

ONLINE EXAMINATION:

Preliminary Examination:

Note: Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.

Mains Examination:

Note: There is a penalty for each wrong answer i.e. one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question applicable to both Online Preliminary and Online Main examination.

Cut-off Marks: Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each of the test of Online Main Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Marks obtained in the Online Main Examination only will be considered for short listing for the Interview and also for the Final Merit Listing.

INTERVIEW: Candidates who are short listed in the Online Mains Examination for CRP- PO/MT will be called for Interview. The Interview will be conducted by the Participating Banks and will be coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/UT with the help of IBPS. The address of the venue & timing of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.

List of Documents required at the time of Interview: Needs to bring Original as well as Photocopies of all the documents and certificates:

1. Printout of Interview Call Letter
2. Printout of The online application form registered for CRP- PO/MT
3. Proof of Date of Birth ( Birth Certificate or 10^th Mark sheet or 10^th Certificate)
4.  Photo Identity Proof
5. Mark-sheets and certificates for Graduation or equivalent qualification.
6. Caste Certificate if applicable
7. Income & Asset Certificate in the case of EWS category candidates
8. Disability Certificate if applicable
9. Ex-serviceman candidate has to produce a copy of the Service Discharge book along with pension payment order & documentary proof of last rank
10. Those who are already working under Government Sector/ Public Sector Undertaking  needs to produce a “ No Objection Certificate”
11. Experience certificate, if any

PROVISIONAL ALLOTTMENT: After the round of interview, the candidates will be shortlisted again according to the vacancies to be filled in a particular financial year. Candidates who have been shortlisted will be allotted one of the participating banks, on merit-less-preference basis.
