Apple Spring Event 2022: New iPhone SE, iPad, Here's Everything You Need to Know?

Each year, Apple typically hosts three to four events. Spring events are usually scheduled in March, Worldwide Developers Conferences in June, and iPhone and Apple Watch events in September. Apple may also host a fall event in October if the company plans to release iPads or Macs that fall.

There is said to be a March 8, 2022, launch event. Despite the company not confirming the event directly, Bloomberg has learned the date from sources familiar with the matter. Apple's upcoming budget iPhone and new iPad have reportedly been in development for the past few months. Also, the company recently imported a budget iPhone and an iPad for testing purposes in India. Overall, there is a strong chance of an Apple event in March 2022, and here are the things to expect. There has been speculation that the event will be centered around the new 5G iPhone SE and iPad Air. Apple is likely to release a Mac mini along with the new iPhone and iPad as well.

iPhone SE 3/iPhone SE 2022 Edition:

A new iPhone SE is expected to be released in the first half of 2022 and will include 5G and an upgraded processor. In terms of design, the iPhone SE will be similar to the current version, which is inspired by the iPhone 8. 5G will be a major selling point, along with Touch ID and thick bezels. The iPhone SE 2022 should be priced similarly to the current model.

Some leaks also suggest that iPhone SE 2022 may come with iPone XR Design. Information gathered from various reports and leaks has led us to believe that Apple will launch an affordable iPhone soon. There has been speculation about the budget iPhone naming it the iPhone SE 3 or iPhone SE+ 5G, but most likely it will have a similar form factor to the original iPhone SE that was released in 2020. Even though the display of the smartphone was reported to be like that of an iPhone XR.

iPad Air 2022 Edition:

According to reports, Apple is developing the next-generation iPad Air, which will be similar to the sixth-generation iPad mini. This model is expected to have an A15 Bionic chip, 5G connectivity, and a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide front camera. Featuring a single-lens rear camera, a 10.9-inch LCD display, a USB-C port, a Touch ID power button, and a variety of color options, it will appear similar to the current iPad Air. This might happen in the spring, perhaps at an event during the first half of the year.

Mac mini 2022 Edition:

Apple is working on a high-end version of the Mac mini with more ports and an Apple silicon chip that's more powerful than the current one. This processor will have a ten-core CPU with eight high-performance cores and two energy-efficient cores, as well as options for 16-core or 32-core GPUs. There will be four Thunderbolt ports and 64GB of RAM on Apple's silicon chip. A new Mac mini model is expected to use M1 Pro or M1 Max chips, just like the upcoming 27-inch iMac.

A 27-inch iMac:

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said in his Power On newsletter that Apple will likely launch a new iMac Pro that has a larger display. According to Gurman, these models could even have Apple's new M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets that were released with the new MacBook Pro lineup. Additionally, the analyst predicts that the design of the new iMac Pro will be similar to the current M1 iMac. Additionally, a DSCC report from earlier this month suggested Apple may introduce a 27-inch iMac with a miniLED display, including Apple's ProMotion technology.
